3. Disassembly and Assembly
This section describes the disassembly and reassembly sequences for this projector.
Warning: As this projector has parts that are sensitive to static electricity, be careful when handling them.

3-1. Disassembly
Caution: 1. Turn the projector off before beginning the disassembly.
2. Carefully disassemble the projector as described in the following procedures.
3. When disassembling the projector, do not use any metal tools except for the provided jig.

Remove the projection lens cover
at the front of the projector by
pressing the left and right hooks.

Caution : Make sure to proceed
with the disassembly after the power
is disconnected.




Remove the two (2) screws at the
2 left and right of the back of the
product




Removing
the Cover Top Lift the hook at the center of the
back of the product.
Loosen the hooks at the sides of
3 the product cover (they can be
loosened easier by pressing the
left and right sides) and lift the
cover.




Be careful of damage to the
projection lens. Loosen the hook
at the front of the cover and lift the
4 cover.


Caution :Be careful of damage to
the touchpad cable.

Remove the two (2) screws at the
top left and right of the rear panel
5 of the projector.
Remove the screw (1) at the front
of the rear panel of the projector.

Remove the connection cable for
SMPS from the inlet attached to
6 the rear panel of the projector and
remove the screw (1) for the GND
connection.




Remove the rear panel, and then
7 remove the two (2) screws holding
the inlet in place.

Remove the three (3) screws

holding the SMPS in place.

holder, and then lift the Light Effect

Remove the two (2) screws holding

remove the Light Effect.

Remove the two (2) screws holding
the SMPS and its holder in place.


(While assembling the SMPS and

its holder, only fasten the two (2)
screws shown in the right photo.
The other two (2) screws are used
when assembling the Light Effect.)




Removing
Lift the SMPS after removing the
the SMPS
screws to remove the SMPS and
its holder.


When checking an SMPS fuse
short, check the fuse placed at the
position shown in the photo.

(Refer to the `Fuse Check' silk)


When checking the SMPS fuse,
disassembling the SMPS is not
required as the fuse is visible by Fuse
removing only the top cover..

Remove the connection cable
connected to the Main board and
the five (5) connection cables
connected to the five (5) parts
(three (3) cables for the fan
connection, one (1) cable for the
thermostat connection, and one (1)
cable for the cover detection switch
connection).

Slowly pull the Main board forwards
and then remove the DMD board.

(While assembling the Main board
and the DMD board, insert the
Main board so that its connectors
are connected correctly. When the
connectors are connected correctly,
it will click into place.)


Remove the connection cables at
the left of the Main board: The
IR board connection cable, the
16 LED board connection cable,
and the Ballast connection cable.

the FAN x3, Light Effect, Cover

Remove the two (2) screws on
the shield case of the Main board
and then remove the top shield.
Remove the two (2) hexagonal
screws holding the RGB jack in
place at the back of the bottom
shield.


Remove the five (5) screws holding

shield in place.


Push forward from the signal jack
at the back of the Main board and
separate the Main board and the
shield case.

fan holder (one (1) screw at the

of the fan) above the Ballast.

and remove it from the engine.

then lift and remove the Color wheel
