1. Note when inserting Flexible Cable

The flexible cables, have two sets of contacts on each cable, see the figure below. When inserting these cables
into the connector, make sure that the cables are fully inserted, if not they may damage the connector.

3. Removal of MIC Case Unit

1. Unscrew the 6 screws (A) and remove the MIC Case Unit as shown in figure 3-1.

4. Removal of Side Case R Unit

1. Remove the MIC Case Unit.
2. Unscrew the 10 screws (A) as shown in figure 4-1.
3. Disconnect the connector P6403 on R SIDE C.B.A. and remove the Side Case R Unit as shown in figure 4-1.

5. Removal of POWER C.B.A.

1. Remove the MIC Case Unit.
2. Remove the Side case R Unit.
3. Disconnect a connector P1001 on POWER C.B.A. as shown in figure 5-1.
4. Unscrew the 2 screws (A) and remove the POWER C.B.A.. Be careful because the CAMERA C.B.A.(bottom
side of POWER C.B.A.) and the connector in the POWER C.B.A are combining the one connector.
(Note in installation)
1. In case new POWER C.B.A. is installed, put the Cooling Sheet in following position as shown in figure 5-1.

6. Removal of TOP VF Unit

1. Remove the MIC Case Unit.
2. Remove the Side Case R Unit.
3. Unscrew the 4 screws (A) as shown in figure 6-1.
4. Lift up the TOP VF and disconnect a connector P2215 on VTR C.B.A., then remove the TOP VF Unit as
shown in figure 6-1. Then be careful because the portion A and B are hooked together.
(Note in installation)
1. In case the flexible cable (A) is changed to new one, bend it to Z character as shown in figure 6-1.
2. The CCD Heat Sink is located to outside of TOP VF Unit as shown in figure 6-1.

7. Removal of Front Case Unit

1. Remove the MIC Case Unit.
2. Remove the Side Case R Unit.
3. Remove the TOP VF Unit.
4. Unscrew the 3 screws (A) as shown in figure 7-1.
5. Disconnect a connector P6301 and remove the Front Case Unit as shown in figure 7-1.
(Note in installation)
1. When installing the Front Case Unit, do not give damage the Lens.
2. In case of the flexible cable (it connected with P6301 and CAMERA C.B.A.) is exchange to new one, bend it
to Z character to put under the Lens Unit.




Be careful not to damage the lens.

8. Removal of Lens Unit

1. Removal of MIC Case Unit.
2. Removal of Side Case R Unit.
3. Removal of POWER C.B.A..
4. Removal of TOP VF Unit.
5. Removal of Front Case Unit.
6. Unscrew the 2 screws (A) and remove the CCD CON STOPPER as shown in figure 8-1.
7. Disconnect the connector P1 and P8 on CAMERA C.B.A. as shown in figure 8-1.
8. Unscrew the 4 screws (B) and remove the Lens Unit.
9. Unscrew the 4 screws (C) and remove the Lens Frame Unit from Lens Unit as shown in figure 8-1.
(Note in installation)
1. In case a new Lens Unit is installed, bend the flexible cable (A) to Z character as shown in figure 8-1.

9. Removal of Rear Case Unit & CAMERA C.B.A.

1. Removal of MIC Case Unit.
2. Removal of Side Case R Unit.
3. Removal of POWER C.B.A..
4. Removal of TOP VF Unit.
5. Removal of Front Case Unit.
6. Removal of Lens Unit.
7. Remove the 3 screws (A) as shown in figure 9-1.
8. Disconnect a connector P2 on CAMERA C.B.A. as shown in figure 9-1.
9. Unscrew the 2 screws (B) on CAMERA C.B.A. as shown in figure 9-1.
10. It shifts the Rear Case Unit as much as showing in figure 9-1 and remove the CAMERA C.B.A.. Be careful
because the VTR C.B.A.(bottom side of CAMERA C.B.A.) and the connector in the CAMERA C.B.A are
combined.
11. Disconnect a connector P2216 on VTR C.B.A. and remove the Rear Case Unit.
(Note in installation)
1. When installing the CAMERA C.B.A., Attach the CAMERA C.B.A. to portion "A" of Mech. Attachment Frame
as shown in figure 9-1.
2. When installing the CAMERA C.B.A., the parts which are shown in figure 9-1 on the CAMERA C.B.A. are
combined with the VTR C.B.A. with the direct connector, pushing CAMERA C.B.A. well.
3. When installing the Rear Case Unit, it puts section "B" in the hole of flexible cable, which is connected in
P2216 as shown in figure 9-1.

10. Removal of Cassette Cover Unit

1. Remove the MIC Case Unit.
2. Remove the Side case R Unit.
3. Remove the POWER C.B.A..
4. Remove the TOP VF Unit.
5. Remove the Front Case Unit.
6. Remove the Lens Unit.
7. Remove the Rear Case Unit and CAMERA C.B.A..
8. Unscrew the 2 screws (A) and remove the Cassette Cover Unit as shown in figure 10-1.

1. Pass flexible cable through the portion "A" as shown in figure 10-2.
2. Attach the "B" portion to "C" portion as shown in figure 10-2 and tighten the 2 screws (A).

11. Removal of Mechanism Unit & VTR C.B.A.

1. Remove the MIC Case Unit.
2. Remove the Side Case R Unit.
3. Remove the POWER C.B.A..
4. Remove the TOP VF Unit.
5. Remove the Front Case Unit.
6. Remove the Lens Unit.
7. Remove the Rear Case Unit and CAMERA C.B.A..
8. Remove the Cassette Cover Unit.
9. Disconnect the connector P2219 and P2222 on VTR C.B.A. as shown in figure 11-1.
10. Disconnect the connector P2217 on VTR C.B.A. and P4101 on SIDE JACK C.B.A., then remove the flexible
cable (A) as shown in figure 11-1.
11. Unscrew the 6 screws (A) and remove the Unit (Mechanism & VTR C.B.A.) as shown in figure 11-1.

NOTE: MECH Attachment Frame requires replacement, make sure to move the Cooling Sheet to the new MECH
Attachment Frame. See figure 11-1.

12. Disconnect the 7 connectors (A),(B),(C),(D),(E),(F) and (G) on VTR C.B.A. as shown in figure 11-2.

13. Unscrew the 2 screws (B) and remove the VTR C.B.A. as shown in figure 11-3.
14. Unscrew the 3 screws (C) and remove the Mechanism Unit from Mech. Attachment Frame Unit as shown in
figure 11-3.
15. Unscrew the 2 screws (D) and remove the Garage Cover as shown in figure 11-3.
NOTE: In case a new Mechanism unit is installed, put the FPC Protection Sheet in the following position as
shown in figure 11-3.

Put sheet at the end of the mechanic chassis.

12. Removal of LCD Unit

1. Remove the MIC Case Unit.
2. Remove the Side Case R Unit.
3. Unscrew the 3 screws (A) and remove the HEAT SINK(SIDE R) as shown in figure 12-1.
4. Remove the FFC Protection Sheet as shown in figure 12-2.
5. Remove the Cooling Sheet to unscrew the screw (B) and unscrew the screw (B) and (C) as shown in figure
12-2.
6. Remove the HINGE COVER and unscrew the 2 screws (D) as shown in figure 12-3.
7. Disconnect connector P6404 on R SIDE C.B.A. and remove the LCD Unit as shown in figure 12-2.
(Note in installation)
1. When installing the FFC Protection Sheet, fully open the LCD Panel and Put on the original position as shown
in figure 12-2.
2. Do not forget put on the Cooling Sheet after tightening the screw (B) as shown in figure 12-2.

13. Removal of EVF Unit

1. Removal of MIC Case Unit.
2. Removal of Side Case R Unit.
3. Removal of TOP VF Unit.
4. Disconnect connector P1 on EVF CONNECT C.B.A. as shown in figure 13-1.
5. Unscrew the 4 screws (A) and remove the EVF Unit and EVF SLIDER Unit from EVF LCD HOLD Unit as
shown in figure 13-2.
6. Unscrew the 3 screws (B) and remove the EVF SLIDE COVER as shown in figure 13-3.
7. Unscrew the 4 screws (C) and remove the EVF Unit from EVF SLIDER Unit as shown in figure 13-4.
