SYMPTOMCURE VERSION 2004-02 The order code for the EscaPe CD is 9965 000 12039, always the latest version is stocked. The latest version is 2006-1. SymptomCure offers you product-specific repair information as well as general items that can be used as an ongoing reference by the repair technician. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS * Windows NT or higher * CD-ROM drive Remark: Be sure you have administrator rights when installing the program DISPLAY SETTING For a good program performance the advised display setting is: 1024 by 768 pixels. INSTALLATION * Insert the CD-ROM * Start windows explorer * Select the CD-ROM drive * Double click on 'setupSC.exe' Remarks: The program stores the files at the following default positions: C:\program files\... During installation it is possible to change this by using the browser function. When restoring a new version it is recommended to change the default settings again to overwrite the old version. FEATURES OF THE SYMPTOMCURE CD-ROM * Easy installation program * Easy accessible via entering part of type number or chassis/family * Sorting of the symptoms possible at each category by clicking on one of the column headers * Automatically adjustment of the field width, dependent on the content, by double clicking on the vertical border of the field header * To be able to open .pdf files, the application Acrobat reader is added to the CD-ROM. * From version 2004-1 onwards, Symptomcure can import the downloaded data from the "AtYourService" website. In principle it is possible to install Symptomcure on several PC's, while the databases are installed on a network drive. Symptomcure is limmitted to 5 users. HOW TO USE THE SYMPTOMCURE CD-ROM * Start up the program * Click at 'SymptomCure' in the menu bar * Click at 'via type no./chassis' * Window 'type number/version list' appears * Make the selection by typing the complete or part of the type nr. or chassis * Click on the type number/chassis in the list * Click on the button 'show symptoms' * Window 'show list of symptoms' appears * Sort symptoms by clicking on one of the field headers for easy symptom look up * Click on the symptom to view the cure * It is possible to make a hard copy by clicking on 'print symptom and cure' To view symptoms and cures of other type numbers/chassis, click on the window 'type number/version list' and follow the above same steps. REFERENCES DIRECTORY A symptom and cure can refer to a document(s) with extra information. You can find these documents in the 'references' directory. This directory contains .HTM, .PDF, .ZIP, .DOC, etc. type of files. NEW FUNCTIONALITY It is possible to import the Symptomcure database "Escape.mdb" and the file "UsedFiles.dat" from the AtYourService website. The downloaded and unzipped files can be imported via menu item "Maintenance", "Import downloaded file". Both files must be present in th
