N. 28 003 578 023 Part No. SM1083 CD2000 Refrigerator/Freezer Models GD25SFCH, GD25FFCH, GD25BFCH INTRODUCTION The CD2000 Refrigerator/Freezer is a 25 cu. ft. counter-depth unit and is designed to be built into a cabinet. The unit has a metal interior liner with the liner and breaker trim caulked together. The unique controls consist of a touch pad assembly and an electronic control. The touch pad assembly is located on the left top wall of the fresh food section. The electronic control (microprocessor) is located in the unit compartment. The refrigerator/freezer has four adjustable wheels with an inch of travel for leveling the unit. The door closer is riveted to the door hinge. The wiring for the freezer door passes through the bottom door hinge. 1A TOUCH CONTROL ASSEMBLY The touch control assembly is located on the upper left side of the refrigerator compartment and is replaced as an assembly. The touch control assembly consists of a display board, a touch pad, and a control box. The control assembly must be removed to access the defrost heater/bimetal test leads, the refrigerator compartment thermistor, the damper motor, and the associated wiring. To remove the touch control assembly, perform the following steps: 1. Remove the light lens. Place your finger into the half-moon slot at the bottom of the lens and pull out, then pull down to disengage the corners from the control box. Touch Control Assembly Light Lens Half Moon Slot 2. Remove the mounting screw from the touch control assembly, then pull the assembly forward to unhook it from the refrigerator liner, and out to remove it. Screw 25 2A 3. To remove the touch control assembly, disconnect the wire connectors from the display board and the lamp socket. The bimetal test connector, the refrigerator compartment thermistor, and damper motor connector locations are also shown below. NOTE: The damper motor connector is always connected to the bottom socket. The top socket is not used.
