Date: February 24, 2000 Symptom: (C510) There is no audio heard from certain DTV programs that use audio data rates greater than 384 Kbits/second. All NTSC (analog) program audio is O.K. Solution: If the customer complains of this symptom, send the digital receiver/decoder box to the following address so that it can be reprogrammed with new firmware: Sony Service Center 128 Westwood Industrial Center 390 University Ave. Westwood, Massachusetts 02090 Be sure to include a note indicating that the digital receiver/decoder is being sent in for reprogramming according to this service bulletin. Firmware version 2.02 or higher corrects the symptom. Digital receiver/decoder boxes with serial numbers higher than S010700745X already have the firmware that prevents the symptom from occurring. Do not confuse the digital receiver/decoder box serial number with the TV's serial number.
