This jig is used in conjunction with a telephone answering machine which includes a time/date stamp feature (not supplied; Sony model TAM-50 recommended). This jig checks the frequency and level of a signal recorded on a special test disc (model CCTD-1, supplied with the audio test jig) while being played on the unit under test. When frequency or level errors (such as skipping) are detected, the jig sends 3 ring signals to the answering machine, and each "call" recorded is considered to be an audio error. The time/date stamp information gives an indication as to when the error occurred. Solution: The audio test jig, model ENFF ("Evaluator/No Fault Finder") can be ordered as shown below.
