Solution: If the Nickel Cadmium battery falls below 1.5 volts the charge light will not operate. However, if the customer leaves the unit in its charging stand (BC- KB300) for about an hour (standby mode), the battery will charge even though the light is OFF. Once the battery exceeds 1.5 volts the LED will light. Note: The Owners Manual after serial number 5150 will state that the light will fail to come on if the battery has not been charged for a long period of time.
