R302 6.8k start-up O/C caused by short in TA8718N IC. Please note this Onwa variation Uses TA8718N in IC position IC 302 not the usual AN 5601K.

No sound no cursor on the baragraph
Don't replace the eprom! Disconnect pin 4 IC601, turn on and turn up the volume using the remote. When cursor and sound appear, resolder without turning off then hit standby on the remote to save!!
