The line scan coupling capacitor C 184 ( 0.235uF , 250V ) was open-circuit.

Int. Brightness flashing and vertical lock hick-ups.
Change 2,1 volts zener in PS. Actually it is a Silicon stabilizer and forward biased, unlike a zener. It can be replaced by three 1N4148 diodes in series.
