Subject: Procedure for Resetting the Micon when Replacing the Digital Board Symptom: (**)

When replacing the Digital Board misoperation may occur when the unit is powered ON.
Solution:
If misoperation occurs after replacing the Digital board, perform the following procedure: Remove the power cord from the A/C recepticle. Verify that the replacement Digital board, which contains the System Control Microprocessor, has been properly installed and connected. Short the positive (+) lead of the back-up capacitor (approx. 1F/5.5V) to ground for roughly one second. Plug the power cord into the A/C recepticle and switch the unit ON.
